This recipe has been adapted from goop.com blog because of the ingredients I found in my kitchen that day. It’s over simple, quick, super yummy… and will give you big smiles when your starving teens come back from school!
Ingredients: 1 cup raw walnuts, 1 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats, 1/2 cup oat bran, 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes, 1/4 cup flaxseeds, 1/4 pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, 1 teaspoon ground cardamon, 3 pitted dates, 3 tablespoons coconut oil, salt a little, 1/4 cup marble sirop.
Preheat your oven at 180 degres C and prepare a parchemin paper on the baking tray. Mix in the blender the walnuts, 1 cup of oats, the bran, the dates and the coconut flakes. Put the mixture in a bowl together with the rest of the ingredients. You mix well to have a sticky paste. Combine the mixture on the parchemin in a square of 20 x 20 cm and bake for 20 minutes.
Allow to cool before cutting in bars of 5 x 5 cm if you like.
The cardamon flavor is just fantastic in this recipe but we can imagine to replace it with cinnamon or all spices or vanilla or anything you like.
