Cocoa Macadamia Nut Butter and Crackers


Macadamia nut is one of the most nutritious nuts in terms of good fats omega 3. Excellent fatty food option for vegetarian. There are different ways to obtain the butter from the nut. I like to use the cold press slow juicer to get the most of it and use the fibers afterwards to bake crispy salty crackers. I previously posted recipe for almond crackers, just follow the same steps  (Salty almond crackers) with the ingredients mentioned below. This time I made a “sweet” cocoa version of the butter. It worth a try.

Ingredients: Butter: 200 gr macadamia nuts (soaked for 24h), 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder (optional), 1cc natural Erythritol (or any other sweetener, optional).

Crackers: 2 tbsp water, 2 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tsp psyllium, salt, pepper, rosemary.

Feed the juicer without the ailette support. It looks like this:








Result : 120 gr of REAL butter and 80 gr of fibers to bake the crackers.
