Pomegranate is really refreshing. It gives a crunchy and revival touch to any boring lettuce. I’m sure there is many ways to insert these colorful seeds into our meals. Full of polyphenol it’s a special treat for women who have to control their weight, their hormonal balance and the unwanted fat around the belly. Along with Matcha tea, pomegranate can be a daily pick up for women concerned about breast cancer as these polyphenol again are natural estrogen inhibitor which is what we are looking for in case of hyperestrogenism.
This nut and fruit bowl is an afternoon snack. Far away from your lunch it’s a good time to eat the fruit portion. It’s difficult here to specify the weight of ingredients as it depends mainly of your age and lifestyle and the rest of your daily eating but here is what I ate one hour before Hot Yoga session 90 minutes. I usually don’t eat before workout but my body asked for it that day and I try to be a good listener…
Ingredients: 40 gr mixed nuts (cashew and almond), 1/2 fresh mango, 3 tbsp pomegranate seeds, 2 tbsp dried unsweetened coconut flakes, 3 pitted dates (optional for very sweet tooth).
-To get the most nutrients of your nuts is to soak them for at least 3 or 4 hours, rinse a lot and dehydrate in the oven on a parchment paper for one hour at 130° C. If you decide to do it, prepare a whole batch of nuts for the week or more. When they are cooled down, store them in a glass jar outside the fridge.
-Crush the nuts with a mortar. Cut the mango in small pieces. Cut the dates in thin slices if you use it.
-You just gently mix all ingredients together and eat directly.
Instead of mango: papaya, apple, orange, banana, pineapple should work.
It is really a replenishing yummy snack! Can’t wait to enjoy it again 🙂
